Crop Over Festival
Crop Over Festival (Various Locations) – held annually from late June to early August, Crop Over is Barbados’ biggest and best –loved festival which sees the whole island taken over by the party spirit. Events last five weeks and revelers can expect a heavy mix of live music, dancing, carnival, markets, cultural presentations and more. Festival origins can be traced back to the 1780s, when Barbados was the one of the world’s foremost producers of sugar, and a festival was held at the culmination of each sugar season.
